In many ways a breakthrough moment, ‘Immunity’ has pushed Jon Hopkins to a new level.
Recently selling out London’s Royal Festival Hall with his re-vamped live show, the producer has been cast in a certain light.
Heading to Sundlaugin Studios near Reykjavik back in February, Jon Hopkins began working on fresh material. Picking up on the more sedate moments of ‘Immunity’, new EP ‘Asleep Versions’ will be released on November 10th.
Conceived of as a 25 minute long piece, Jon Hopkins instead split the material into four separate tracks. Seeming defining his soft, introverted side, ‘Asleep Versions’ contains a semi-acoustic re-interpretation of album track ‘Form By Firelight’, featuring additional vocals from the Braids and Blue Hawaii lead vocalist, Raphaelle Standell.
