With offshoot label Nang dominating the release schedules over the past few years, it's been all too easy to forget about Tirk Records. This 10th anniversary compilation, packed with highlights from the imprint's first decade, shows what we've been missing during the label's sabbatical. Despite being an early champion of the contemporary disco scene (a fact borne out by killer cuts and remixes from Todd Terje, Darshan Jesrani's Arcade Lover outfit and Greg Wilson), Tirk has always been thrillingly eclectic in its' output. That fact is rammed home here, via the psychedelic oddness of Time & Space Machine, the dreamy Balearic electronica of "Love & Money", and the P-funk influenced indie-rock of Tim, Chad & Sherry.
