On January 8th, 2016, Dub Miller will release The Midnight Ambassador, his first album of new material since 2002’s Post Country. Long considered a pioneer of the Texas Country/Red Dirt scene Dub helped to blaze a trail that others would follow and hopes that this latest effort will mark a return to form.

Brad Beheler of writes: “Dub Miller is about as Texas as they come. A former student and corps member at Texas A&M, Dub has entertained many a career path around his musicianship. He’s done everything from working on ranches, on farms, around oil rigs, in John Dickson’s production office and even attended law school for a while. Yet it is his music that is quintessentially Texan. Dub pours each of his life experiences and locations into his songs. He’s a modern poet laureate of Texas culture. His lyrics distill the very essence of Texas without being trite, simple or cliche´. The pictures he paints with words are so vivid and detailed that you feel like he’s ripped it straight from your memories.”

The Midnight Ambassador was recorded at Yellow Dog Studios in Wimberley, Texas and Abbey Road Studios in London, England with long time collaborator Adam Odor. The album features eleven new songs all written by Dub and featuring his unique point of view.

The release of this new music marks a return to Dub’s music career after a long hiatus. A CD release party held at the MusicFest at Steamboat Springs, Colorado will kick off a tour with Dub’s new band in support of his new album. “I‘m really excited not only see an album of my new songs come to fruition but to be able to play these songs night after night with such a great band” Dub says, “I truly am blessed.” The Midnight Ambassador will be distributed by Smith Music and will be available wherever you find the best in Country & Americana music.
